Our God is a God of second chance.
When man sinned by disobeying HIS command in the Garden of Eden, HE did two things: Firstly, HE pronounced sentences on the three creatures involved the Serpent, the woman and the man, Genesis 3:14 - 19; secondly, HE put them to spiritual death by driving them out of the Garden of Eden Genesis 3:23 - 24.
Satan knew that there are three types of death: the physical death - which is the separation of spirit, soul and body (James 2:26); the spiritual death - the separation from God (Isaiah 59:2; Colossians 2:13; 1Timothy 5:6) and the eternal death - this is the living in hell fire with Satan forever (Matthew 10:28). But Satan deceived man with the natural death when he told man "you will not surely die" - Genesis 3:4. He did not allow man to know about the spiritual and eternal death. But Apostle Paul tells us that "Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned" Romans 5:12. (Amp) That is all men are spiritually separated from God.
However, since the day God drove man out of the garden, HE started putting in place the processes to bring him back. Our God is a merciful God. HE set up redemption processes for man to make a U-turn back to HIM. This Apostle Paul tells us again in same chapter of Romans that "For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him)" - Romans 5:19. (Amp)
As there are three type of death, there are also three types of life: the physical (Genesis 2:7); the spiritual (1John 3:14); and the eternal life (Matthew 25:46). No matter what you have done, no matter where you are, God is still calling everyone to come. Jesus says "I have come that they may have life and they may have it more abundantly" - John 10:10b. So God is saying, "Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool" - Isaiah 1:18 (KJV).
Some of the processes of bringing people back to the purposes for which HE created them for are The Second Chance Ministries (TSCM) which God gave birth to on day 10 of the month of December 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica. Among other things, TSCM are divinely and specifically instructed to work with persons in these three categories: troubled marriage, problem child and the lost one.
We pray and believe that as you encounter the Lord through TSCM, the glory and the purpose of God in your life will manifest in Jesus' name. Remember that our God is a God of second chance, because Jesus Christ says, "Come to ME all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" - Matthew 28:11. No matter where you are and whatever you are going through, be assured that there is always a bright shining light at the end of a tunnel.
