History of TSCM

In August 2004, Olutola Fakehinde declared a self three-day absolute fast, to seek God's face about getting a job in the United Kingdom. The day he started the fast he got the vision of God at 4:15pm on August 30, 2004 at his wife, Elizabeth's residence in Dover, and The LORD said "I will give you a good job, but that is not where I want you to stay. I AM calling you to preach MY WORD to the nations. I AM giving you a good job first so that people will not say because you do not find a job that's why you go into preaching. Within two years you must start moving into MY purpose for your life. I am calling you to preach MY Word into nations and deliver the oppressed - says the LORD of host".

When Olutola returned to Jamaica to round up his over eight years employment as a lecturer in the School of Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering & Computing, University of Technology Jamaica, following a successful employment with the City of Bath College in the UK, God started to unfold HIS purpose to him. Watching a television programme on day 10 of the month of December 2004, in his residence at David Clement Drive Elletson Flat in Kingston between 7:00 and 7:30am, God gave him "The Second Chance Ministries" - (TSCM) with specifications on problem marriage, problem child and the lost soul.

Eleven months after he started as a Building Services Engineering lecturer in the City of Bath College in Bath, God brought Olutola and Elizabeth, accompanied with their guest Ranti Salako, in contact with Pastor Yemi Ladipo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Overcomers House in Bristol, during what was supposed to be a 30 minute-visit to a friend Augustine Humphrey. As God would have it, the visit lasted from about 11:00am to 6:00pm. The visit of that day 26 of December 2005 was a divine connection, because it was on this day we were invited to the inauguration service of the RCCG Overcomers House which was on day 8 of January, 2006.

Pastor Yemi Ladipo is a man of God who is always encouraging and working with the vision of God in people's life. Almost everyday he has joined faith with us in the establishment of TSCM and set in place how the work of God will begin and move on. He encouraged Olutola and Elizabeth to be actively involved in the marvellous work the Lord is doing in the RCCG Overcomers House, through which God has been unfolding HIS plans for TSCM. He also stood by Olutola when in July 2007 he had to take that tough decision to give up his secular job as a lecturer at the City of Bath College, to come into the purpose of God for his life as a full-time Minister of God.

The great man of God used to bring us to Christ, laid for us a solid foundation for the work of the Creator and brought us up spiritually, is Reverend George Olawale Adegboye, the President of the Ever Increasing Word Ministries a.k.a. Rhema Chapel International Churches and the President of the Word of Victory Bible Training Institute (WVBTI) and the Young Ministers Teaching School, with Headquarters in Ilorin Nigeria, in which both Elizabeth and Olutola were graduates. We both served in various capacities in the Church with Olutola as the Director of Video Ministry, a Deacon and a lecturer at the WVBTI between 1990 and 1996. Rev. G.O. Adegboye (the walking Bible as he is well known) is an Apostle of the New Testament with a commission to "Take the Word to the nations of the world emphasizing its integrity". He is a tremendous man of God who shares the burden of TSCM with us and sent this telephone text message (in part) on 08/04/07 at 00:24 mid-night, "You are in our prayers always".

The wonderful man of God, who got the information about the vision of TSCM first and prayed with us, is Reverend (Dr.) Merrick Al Miller, the President of the Whole Life Ministries and the senior pastor of Fellowship Tabernacle Church (FELTAB) in Jamaica and a Justice of the Peace in St. Andrew. The Call of God and vision for the Whole Life Ministries is to strengthen the Body of Christ to affect the nation of Jamaica, and region and beyond with a demonstration for the life and power of the Kingdom of God. The foundation scripture of FELTAB is "Come fellowship with us and our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son" - 1John 1:3. Olutola serviced as the Director of Video Ministry and a House Core Leader between 1996 and January 2005 when he left Jamaica. Pastor Al (as members call him) is always full of encouragement. Pastor Al is committed to the integrity of God's word, and a great worshipper. He is a man who encourages establishment and growth of God's visions in any man's life.

Today, The Second Chance Ministries is been established according to the plans and purpose of God to minister to and pray along with couples whose marriages are heading for or have already hit the rock, various young ones who are under the oppression of the Devil and to set at liberty those who are under the captivities of Satan.
