| Troubled Marriage |
From the creation of this world, God, after HE had created all that were good in HIS sight, saw one thing that was not good and HE said, "it is not good that man should be alone;" - Genesis 2:18. The Good News Bible [GNB] says. "It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him". And immediately the Creator provided the solution to make the situation good by saying further in that verse, "I will make him a help meet for him". This is the beginning of marriage.
The 1965 Bible in Basic English (BBE) translated the above verse thus: "It is not good for the man to be by himself: I will make one like himself as a help to him". And the Amplified version expound on it by saying, "It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him".
With this in mind the Creator performed a marvellous surgical operation on the man and brought his helpmate from his body - Genesis 2:21 - 22. And the man Adam looked at his helpmate and immediately fell in love and said, in the next verse, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she is taken out of Man".
There are many reasons why God had to perform this operation to bring forth the woman and we shall look into them in our further discussions. However, one paramount reason we must mention here is the fact that God did not make woman the way HE made others or make her from any of the other creatures, but man, because HE wants the association of the two creatures to be good, to be perfect. HE wants an excellent and happy union where love will reign supreme. After the creation of the woman, the Lord brought them together and said, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh" - Genesis 2:24
God made woman from man so that there should always be peace, love, joy and happiness in their home because the two of them are from the same source - one body. But we at TSCM know that this is not always the case in many married homes, Christian homes not excluded. Why? This is the big question we want you and us to address together and see how we can live a life full of God's purpose in our marriages.
Marriages are being throwing upside down for many reasons ranging from, money, sex, the other woman and the other man, children, relations and lots more. One thing we are sure of at TSCM is that no matter how bad the situation of your marriage may be, it can be saved because we know that our God, who made everything good at the beginning, is still on HIS throne and HE is a God of second chance. If you allow HIM to do the repairs, HE will restore the happiness and love in your home.
We pray that whatever is not good in your marriage today our God will perform HIS surgical operation on it again and make it good in Jesus' name.
